Labor Day Fishing

After the family left on Monday morning we took the kids to Pine Valley fishing.

As with every activity, the way to keep Isaac from getting bored and throwing fits is to feed him. The kid is always eating - no wonder he's my "Brick" baby.
We let Bella and Isaac fish with the pole that has a lure, but no hook. It's much safer for everyone standing anywhere nearby.

This is the story about the one that got away, except in this case it's the two that got away. Both Samuel and Chuck each caught a little fish, but they both got off right as they got them to shore. Now this doesn't make for a cute picture with the kids holding the fish, but it sure makes turing the fish loose a lot easier. Samuel was sad we didn't have a fish to take home and eat.

Bella is holding the only "catch" of the day. She reeled in her line and told us all she had caught a rainbow trout - it was actually the fishing lure which is a tiny blue and pink fish. She carried it all around so proud of her "catch".
