Babies Won't Keep

Happy 1st Birthday Sweet Baby Jenna!

Photobucket
It was our sweet babies 1st birthday last week. The past year has gone by SO FAST, I really can't believe it. I usually love birthdays and planning fun parties, but I just could not get into the celebration spirit. Instead, I found myself in tears several days last week. It was a mourning period for me as I contemplated the reality of no more of our own babies to feel my arms and thought about how fast time seems to fly. These are crazy, joyful and sometimes hard days as I juggle having these 4 precious kids so close together. There is not much time for doing anything but meeting their needs, but I would not trade these days for anything!

I think the words to the song Babies Won't Keep sums up the way I feel beautifully.

On the day that you were born
and they laid you in my arms

I thought that this would last forever

Tiny hands and tiny feet

a baby's winsome smile

But a baby is a baby, oh my baby

for such a short while.

Photobucket
So rock them, hold them

Photobucket
sing them to sleep

Photobucket
Love them each moment
and remember babies won't keep.

Photobucket
Hours become days

Photobucket
days turn into weeks

Photobucket
Tiny feet begin to walk, in come little teeth

Photobucket
Big tears and new fears

PhotobucketPhotobucket

drift away in child's play

Photobucket
Then the baby's gone
and the little girl, is on her way.

Photobucket
So rock them,

PhotobucketPhotobucket

hold them

Photobucket
sing them to sleep

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Love them each moment

Photobucket
and remember babies won't keep.

So sweet!
One thing I love about Jenna is that she has her same sweet baby look. So many babies change so much in the first year, but she still looks like her newborn picture, just bigger.

Beautiful Amber!! I love the pictures of you and her in white. I've never seen those. Really precious. Luckily, toddlers don't keep either- J/K. They sure are sweet and cuddly when they are so small. Have to learn to love and enjoy every stage they are in because they are always changing until someday they are gone.

Oh my goodness Amber, what a little doll. Doesn't seem possible that she is a year old already. How time flies when you are having fun. I love all your pictures, wish you lived closer, you do such a good job. All of your little kids are soooooo cute.

So I just realized that my comment I left here last week didn't really post...unless you deleted it!

This is a BEAUTIFUL post. I was crying. The screen was blurry, that is probably why it didn't work.
Bronson is just waking up. I am going to go hold him tight!
