Week In Review – June 1, 2008
The highlite of the week was having our whole family together for a few days. This only happens once a year so it’s an exciting time! We drove to Cedar City on Saturday morning and as luck would have it, Bella started coughing. Baby Kambree is so tiny that we were afraid to expose her to Bella’s germs so poor Bella had to stay outside all day and we tried to keep the babies away from her. The grandkids have almost doubled in number in just the past few months with each of us having a new baby. I must say that we have the fussiest baby of the bunch! Kambree sleeps all the time, and Alysa is the happiest baby I have seen!

While at Trina’s house the kids played a lot ouside, wrestling grandpa, playing ladder ball and the redneck game of riding an old computer chair down the driveway. We also let the kids play in Monica’s backyard for a little while. We spent the night at the Hampton and even though we had two adjoining rooms staying in a hotel with three little kids is not that pleasant. All the kids were so tired they were having a hard time falling asleep and we all had a restless nights sleep.

Sunday morning we went to a 9:00 sacrament meeting and then took a family picture. We took a lot of pictures and somehow we actually got one that worked out pretty well. It’s a difficult task with all the little ones! Then everyone, but Trina, Wes and the baby came to Ivins to see our new home and have some of Chuck’s famous dutch oven cooking. We also made a cake for Grandpa Clayton’s birthday. Samuel really enjoyed playing with the cousins especially Kayla. Wished everyone lived closer so we could get together more often!

Samuel's newest game - he likes to stack the couch cushions and then do flips onto the couch saying, "To Infinity and Beyond!". Yes, he just watched Toy Story for the first time a week or so ago.

Baby Kambree

Trina and I a week later. I was a little jealous that Trina looks so skinny after having her baby a week ago! After only one week she just has a few pounds to lose! After three kids in three years I'm a little slower on the weight loss!

Kambree and Isaac - he looks like a giant baby compared to her. She is so tiny especially with the little chicken legs! Trina couldn't believe how big he was.

Thomas The Tank Engine

We had to get a picture of Isaac with Thomas because we won't be doing this again! The kids enjoyed it, but it was pretty expensive and one of those things you only do once. The ride was about 20 minutes and we figured each minute was costing us $3. One of those things you do because your kids love it!

Grandpa Paul's 70th Birthday

The whole Gillette Clan at Grandpa Paul's 70th birthday party. The family is always growing and since it was raining and cold the celebration was at the church. We ate and then each of the kids paid tribute to Paul. Luann also had a nice display and was working up to the last minute on a scrapbook. We also learned she wore a strapless dress to a school dance!

Our Week In Revies - May 26, 2008

* The excitement this week was the birth of little Kambree. I made a trip on Monday evening to see the new arrival and was amazed at how small she was. Isaac seems like a giant compared to her. Tuesday was an emotional day as we all worried about Kambree’s condition. I cried and prayed most of the day. The whole family drove to Cedar on Tuesday night. We were all releaved to see that she was doing better.

* I took all the kids on our first shopping trip to Kmart to get a new suitcase for Samuel. It was a little tricky trying to get anything else in the cart besides the three kids. It was actually not that bad!

* We went to Bountiful for Grandpa Paul’s 70th birthday party. On Saturday we took the kids to ride on Thomas the Train at the Heber Valley Railroad. Samuel was so excited when he spotted Thomas. The drive was much better this trip because we bought another DVD player and a couple of new videos. It was good to see all of Chuck’s family and introduce them to baby Isaac.

* Isaac – is starting to coo and squeal. He has the cutest smile! He is growing so big and is getting the Bella cheeks. I even had a guy at the store comment on his cheeks (people always made comments on the size of Bella’s cheeks)

* Samuel – I saw a little piece of wax in Samuel’s ear and told him there was something in his ear I needed to get. He then said, "What is it – a fly?" Too funny!

* Bella – she likes to copy everything Samuel does. We’re not sure this is a good thing! She likes to try and dress herself. She is also becoming a tease. On our way home from Bountiful we stopped so I could feed the baby. Chuck took the kids into McDonald’s to play and then got them an ice cream. Bella was such a mess and she kept teasing each of us acting like she was going to touch us with her sticky hands.

Samuel's idea of "quite time". I about died when I saw that he had done to his room while I was feeding the baby and he was supposed to be having quiet time. I let Chuck handle "helping" Samuel clean up this mess.



Samuel at Father & Sons outting. Samuel wouldn't sleep inside his sleeping bag all night long because he said it was too dark. Our home was sure quite and peaceful while the boys were gone!


Bella loves shoes. She and Samuel like to walk around the house in our shoes laughing as they go.


Bella decided a few weeks ago that she was no longer sitting in the highchair and instead took over Samuel's booster chair. She hates being strapped in and sometimes ends up sitting on the edge of the table. She is our independant soul and insists on feeding herself everything usually making big messes on herself and the floor! (I look forward to the day when I don't always have food on my floor!)


Pretty in Pink - Grandma and Bella getting ready for church. It was the first Sunday I took the baby to our new ward. Church is at 1:00 which is really hard for all the kids. We were glad to have a few extra arms to help out!
