Whenever I try a play a song on the piano I get lots of extra help. Hopefully they'll be as excited about playing when we start piano lessons in a few years!

It rained again the other day and the kids had a great time throwing rocks in the puddles. Bella especially got into the action. She was picking up even bigger rocks than Samuel and she was by far dirtier than he was.
Daddy helped Samuel build this elevated train track. These are the things mommy just can't do! I spend plenty of time with the blocks and tracks, but never think to be so creative with them - that's what daddy's for!

Unwanted House Guest

This scorpion about gave me a heartattack last night! I was in the closet getting ready for bed when I looked on the floor by the lightswitch and saw this nasty creature. Even though the baby was asleep in our room I began hollering for Chuck to come and kill it. Of course he told me to keep an eye on it while he ran to get the camera, a big stick and some shoes to smash the thing. I ran out of the closet and he smashed it with the stick and his shoes then flushed it down the toliet. It was really big and I had nightmares about bugs crawling on me during the night. After feeding Isaac at 3:00 a.m. I crawled back into bed brushing my arm on the tag of my pillow which caused me to let out a scream! Our bathroom has become the portal for unwanted creatures. Last night Chuck finally found an area around the toliet that was not sealed and we think this is where all bugs are gaining access to our bathroom. Anyway he sealed it up and hopefully this will put an end to the creatures!

Isaac - 3 month photos
A few 3 month pictures of Isaac. It was cloudy on Saturday so I took the oportunity to get a few cute shots of the little guy. This week he finally rolled over from his belly to his back and he also began to squeal in delight. We all just love this little guy to pieces!
He has the biggest smile!
Outside with the clouds as a perfect background.

Misc. Stuff

Samuel started swimming lessons last week. He came home after his first class and told me he wished he had a snorkel so he could see fish underwater. Well Chuck got out his snorkel to show him and then found these goggles. Samuel wore the goggles the rest of the evening. Samuel made me laugh today when he put them back on and told me he looked like one of the three blind mice. In our nursery rhythm book there is a picture of the three blind mice wearing big dark glasses.
Sooooo tired! Samuel only naps occasionally these days, but some days gets so tired by the end of the day he just can't stand it. The other night he was falling asleep eating his sandwich. We actually took some really funny video of him falling asleep between bites. The one day of the week he always takes a nap is on Sunday. Our church is at the horrible 1:00 p.m. and every Sunday he falls asleep on the bench in Sacrament meeting - I wish he would do that the rest of the week!
Samuel eating a bowl of Spaghetti O's! Now to most people this wouldn't seem like a big deal, but in our family it's a small miracle. We actually got Samuel to eat this, macarroni and cheese and scrambled eggs this week. He wasn't happy about any of the meals, but eventually managed to get a few bites down. And sorry mom, but Samuel got his hair cut again this week. Chuck was going to get his hair cut and Samuel insisted that he needed to get his hair cut too. He came home with it spiked up again and told me his new hair was sharp (meaning sharp to the touch!)
Bella's hair is getting long enough that I can give her some little pigtails. Of course they only stay looking good for two seconds, but I still try everyday. She actually likes to get her hair done, she just doesn't like to leave it done.

The Yard Work Continues

Chuck is making good progress on the yard. Last weekend he rented a trencher and got that part taken care of. This weekend he started laying the piping for the sprinklers. Can't wait for the grass - the red dirt all over the floor drives me crazy!
Bella had fun walking in all of the trenches.
Samuel is daddy's little helper. He always likes to be working right along side of Chuck.

We Love When Daddy Comes Home

Our favorite time of day is when daddy comes home! The kids are so excited to play games with him and mommy's grateful for the break!
Getting bucked off the crazy daddy horse.
The kids thought it was so funny to run around with this Cheerio box on their head. Chuck cut eye holes and holes of their shoulders so they could see.

Wild Kids

Samuel loves to make what he calls "stepping stones" out of the boxes that are supposed to hold their toys. And guess who was the first one to try out the stepping stones - yes, poor Bella stood on a stepping stone and fell to the bottom of the stairs. They play this little game all the time - so much for trying to keep toys organized downstairs! Bella the hazard child fell down both flights of stairs on Sunday - maybe all falls and bumps to the head is the reason she doesn't talk much!
The kids love to play on the couches. They pull of all the cushions and have a great time doing flips over the top. On my next set of couches I want cushions that don't come off! Of course by then the kids will probably have outgrown this activity.

The kids also think it's funny to wrestle each other. Samuel was having a great time dragging Bella across the floor by her feet and then when she got up he would tackle her. And Bella kept running back for more. Maybe once Isaac's older Bella won't have to endure these "fun" games!
